Computer Animation Schools
The world of animation has come of age. Once the preserve of only the very wealthiest film studios, computers have once again cut swathes through this labor-intensive process. Animation used to take many man-days to produce just the shortest ten-second clip of animation. Now that computers can be used to replicate images and alter them minutely, animation can take mere minutes. Computer animation schools can teach you a range of different techniques, and there is always something new to learn or to use.
While computer animation has greatly reduced the labor effort needed to create images, the flip side is that ever more complex images can be used to create various effects including 3-D. Some people even specialize in particular aspects of animation. You may be interested in created background effects, such as the wind moving through trees, or the sun glinting off ripples of water in a lake. You might be more interested in character animation. Of course, not all computer animations are used by film companies. The gaming industry is a multi million-dollar market, and gamers are constantly looking for more realistic imagery. You'll need bundles of creativity and imagination if you want to succeed in this cutthroat industry sector.
Computer animation schools can teach you so much. The syllabus may change frequently to reflect emerging technology and techniques. Animation even goes through fashion; Japanese anime style cartoons are very popular at the moment. You may learn about: characterization, articulation, animal forms, human forms, textures, backgrounds, storyboarding, design, and planning. Most computer animation schools will also help you create a portfolio, so that you can show prospective employers just what you can do.
