Finding a Cartoon School
If you want to become a cartoonist, finding an accredited school devoted 100% to cartooning will be tough since there are very few. There are technical schools that teach comic craft, though, most cartoon schools fall under the umbrella of art schools and animation schools. As the demand for online cartooning training increases, additional sites are coming online to meet it.
Coursework and Training
At a cartoon school you will receive an education in the art and technology of computer graphics. You will probably be taking most of the same courses that a 2D and 3D animation student would. At a cartoon school you can sharpen your cartoon character animation skills.

As you know cartooning is more than doodles and drawings. Not just anyone can use drawings to express ideas and bring characters to life the way a talented cartoonist can.

After receiving the necessary training from a cartoon school you will be able to apply for jobs with newspapers, editorials, comic strips, and Internet cartoons. Working and using your cartooning skills with a team may also be an option.
